The success of an education or learning process is not only determined by the factors of a teacher but also determined by the factors of a student, therefore, students who have good morals will have a lot of influence on the development of an educational institution. The problems that we want to find answers to through this research are (1) What is the profile of students according to Hasyim Asy'ari in the book Adabul 'Alim wal Muta'allim? (2) What is the student profile of Rahmatan Lil Alamin according to the Indonesian Ministry of Religion? This research aims: 1) to determine the self-efficacy of MA Al-Azhar Menganti Gesik students, 2) to determine the learning motivation of MA Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik students, 3) to determine the learning achievement of MA Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik students, 4) to determine the influence of self-efficacy and learning motivation on the learning achievement of MA Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik students. This research is quantitative research. The population in this study was 199 students. The sampling technique used a simple random sampling technique, namely 50 students as research samples. The data collection method used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is the multiple linear regression equation. Based on this description, there is no significant influence between self-efficacy and learning motivation on the learning achievement of MA Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik students. <br>These results are based on the results of statistical calculation analysis using the multiple linear regression formula, showing the R Square value is 0.020. This means that the influence of self-efficacy and learning motivation on the learning achievement of MA Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik students is 2%. Furthermore, the research aims to explore the development of students' critical thinking abilities during the learning process. Another key aim is to evaluate how inquiry-based learning influences the teaching of Qur'an and Hadith at MTs Bustanul Arifin, which is situated in Kebondalem Menganti, Gresik. The study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach, involving the entire population of 70 ninth-grade students. A saturation sampling technique is employed, ensuring that the sample size remains at 70 students. Data collection is conducted through various methods, including observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis employs simple linear regression, utilizing SPSS software version 23. The results highlight a noteworthy impact of the inquiry-based learning approach on the critical thinking skills of ninth- grade students at MTs Bustanul Arifin, Kebondalem Menganti, Gresik. This conclusion is drawn from a t-value of 8.685, which exceeds the threshold t-value of 1.668 at a 5% significance level (0.05). As the t-value (8.685) is higher than the critical value (1.668), the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
